FSAE Electric Vehicle Cooling System

In my second year as a member of UCalgary Racing, The University of Calgary’s Formula SAE team, I took on a greater project load and led development of the car’s tractive cooling system. This project allowed me to gain a deep understanding of heat transfer and improved my electrical engineering knowledge whilst forcing me to come up with creative methods of testing systems. Further, documenting the entire process improved my technical writing ability and preserved the knowledge gained for future members, cumulating in the 40-page report seen below. The final testing phase required to inform the next system is not yet complete, and thus upon its completion this page and its accompanying report will be updated.
